Call for applications.
SSSR Skills Development Workshop
As a response to requests from members, SSSR is holding its first skills development workshop. This workshop will be held the day prior to the annual general meeting, on June 24 in Boston, MA. This year, we will have targeted workshops on article writing skills and grantsmanship. These will be led by senior researchers in the reading field. We invite all early career reading researchers to apply. Information on the application process is included below. Please feel free to contact the Skills Development Workshop co-ordinator for more information (Héléne Deacon; sdeacon@dal.ca)
Application deadline: March 1, 2009
Priorities for accepting applications.
We have placed a priority on participation from senior graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and junior-level faculty (first two years), as well as early career researchers from the international community. Further, if we have too many applications, we will accept only two applicants from each research group. We place these priorities in order to gain breadth in the audience, but we encourage all interested individuals to apply.
