Young-Suk Grace Kim, Ed.D., is a Historian of SSSR. She is an Associate Professor at Florida State University with a joint appointment at College of Education and Florida Center for Reading Research. As a former classroom teacher in the US and South Korea, Dr. Kim’s primary research areas include how various aspects of language skills contribute to reading and writing across languages.  Dr. Kim received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) by President Barack Obama. Dr. Kim is currently a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator of several studies funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education, and National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and the National Research Foundation of Korea. She serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Educational Psychology, and Reading and Writing: An Interdisciplinary Journal
