Dr. Lesly Wade-Woolley is President of SSSR. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Carolina. Her research focuses largely on the role of prosody in reading, and examines how prosody is implicated in both word reading and reading comprehension. She has attended every SSSR conference since its inaugural meeting in 1994, which she attended as a graduate student. She organized the 21st meeting of the Society in Santa Fe and the 22nd meeting in Hawaii. She also serves on the editorial board of Scientific Studies of Reading.
