Nicole Conrad is a Full Professor and Chairperson in the Department of Psychology at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. She earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology from McMaster University in 2002. Her research combines longitudinal and experimental designs to examine relations between reading and spelling, and how orthographic learning occurs during both. Her research is funded through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Nova Scotia Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Nicole has been a member of SSSR since 1999 and has presented at all but 6 conferences since then. She has served on the editorial board for the journal since 2012, as local organizer for the 2017 conference in Halifax, and has been jointly organizing the early career pre-conference since 2018.
