The SSSR 2026 Annual Conference Dinner will be held in the foyer of ‘LantarenVenster’, Rotterdam’s famous movie and music theater. The building is located just across the river Maas, only two metro stops away from the conference venue (or a nice 20 minutes-walk, crossing the iconic Erasmus-bridge), and it is wheelchair accessible. From the terrace, we will have a nice view over ‘Rijnhaven’, á former port where locals like to go and have a swim on hot summer days.
You will enjoy a curated tasting experience reflecting Rotterdam’s rich cultural diversity through globally inspired dishes—shaped by generations of people who have arrived, settled, and built lives here, with flavors drawn from Indonesia, Surinam, Italy, Japan, and Morocco. Seafood will feature prominently, alongside an abundant selection of meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. Each item will be clearly labeled, including relevant dietary and allergy information. We will conclude with a variety of Rotterdam’s sweetest dessert specialties.
