Jessie Ricketts is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the Department of Psychology, Royal Holloway, University of London. Her research combines longitudinal and experimental designs to disentangle the causal relationships between oral vocabulary knowledge and reading in children and adolescents. Jessie has been a member of SSSR since 2006 and has presented at the conference nearly every year since then. From 2016 to 2018, she jointly organised the early career preconference, which focused on supporting career development, engagement with the SSSR conference, and enhancing the impact of research outside of academia (e.g., with teachers, educational policy makers, and speech and language therapists).
